When this one appeared on my computer screen, I almost fell out of my chair. I know these two! The lady on the left is one of my favorite cooks in the village, delicious Thai food cooked right in her home kitchen - and she gives me 'American-sized' servings too. I had forgotten this pic.

The river varies with the rains, but it always carries a lot of mud because the banks are not protected at all, and the colour of the soil is strong. So this is not during floods ant they were ok. The one in the water and the guy on the right are wearing their style bathjing trunks; they tie their shirt round their waist almost like a diaper - makes for more freedom when swimming and dry panks when they get out :-)
